Corinthians secured their third straight victory with a well deserved win away to Seapoint.
With the wind at their backs Corinthians dominated territory in the early exchanges and led 9-0 after 20 minutes thanks to 3 penalties from the boot of Conor Murphy. Seapoint gradually got back into the game and were rewarded with a penalty from Brian Keegan which left the score at 9-3 at the break.
Corinthians upped the pace of the game from the restart and Darin Classens scored in the corner after great work from the forwards. 5 minutes later Classens was on hand to put prop forward Finlay Bealham away. Bealham showed a clean pair of heels to the Seapoint cover to dive in the corner for his teams second try. Conor Murphy added another penalty to leave the score 22-3 with 10 minutes of the second half gone. After some considerable pressure from the home side’s maul Des Doyle scored in corner and was converted by Keegan.
With the Corinthian backrow dominating the opposition Wayne Williams settled the game with a barnstorming run and try in the dying moments of the game. Not even a late yellow card for second row Gay Warde could take the gloss off a well deserved 29 -10 victory for the Galway men.
