Corinthians outplayed the All Blacks on Friday evening in their annual Connaught League game.The home side got off to a flying start when the visitors were penelized after three minutes of play for tackling in an offside position.The penalty was converted by winger Wayne Williams.The home side went in too overdrive after that with the wind and showers assisting them.The Cloonacauneen outfit ran in for six trys before the break with number eight Liam Carpenter getting in for two touch downs followed by Kieran Dolan,Brian Dixon,Conor Murphy,Fintan Bealham,five of the trys were converted by Wayne Williams.

The All Blacks upped there game after the break with half backs Keogh and Joyce doing their utmost to get there back line moving but it was their front row Emmet Farrell and Alan Price doing the donkey work to get center Conor O Malley to touch down for a fine opportunist try in the corner.Connamara keeped the pressure on with lock forward Barry Gibbins especially to the fore but all to no avail as Corinthians dug deep for their captain Fionn Gormley to run in for a final score. The contest was well controlled by IRFU referee Daithe Flood.

Corinthians next Senior League game is against 1st Div side Buccaneers on Sat 24th at 3pm in Cloonacauneen
